Doodles of My Daily Life

I wanted to practice drawing myself and this is what I got. A timmy's-addicted me with my character Sam Liang and random funny (and sadly true) incidences with my one-year-old son Jack.

All doodles above are true stories lol.

This was supposed to just be Sam...But I had to have someone for her to look at.

Her Portrait- Sua Phoslux

A 30 min sketch and speedpaint. I felt like playing more with the colour more than lineart in the end lol.

Lady Undina

It was fun trying a semi-line and shape-based style :D However, I might have to go back and darken those lines...They seem a bit lost against the texture. (Thinks deeply about it.)

Just Another Dragon

Clean-up and background painting is coming along slowly but surely. I find if I do a sketch to warm-up my hand, everything I do afterwards goes a lot smoother. I draw these saber-feline-faced dragons a lot so I descided to name the whole breed the Silfanes (From Smilodon (saber-tooth cats) and Fane (Old English meaning "Joyful"). I used one of my salt-watercolour scans for my film's texture and basically went crazy on the cintiq lol.

1st and 2nd Year Character Design

I was going through my hardrive and found a few memories from my pervious years. Baa was my first animal character design in 1st year and I was satisfied with his overall result. Sir Edmund and Percibel the Enchanted Horse were for Nancy Beiman's "Time Period-TV Boards" assignment in 2nd year. I'm very happy to say I can see an improvement in how I go about designing things now compared to then.

(I wish I had the psd file to remove that watermark lol.)

(That running pose in the upper right corner O.o)

(Percibel is still my favorite pony.)

For the New Year

My film is coming along rather nicely and I managed to get some time to do some personal art. I tend to get very wrapped up in my school work (or employments) so it was time to have some fun. I'm posting both versions, the black and white I like significantly better because Lorovos the gold/white dragon came out looking a little silly. Rethnak the black/blue dragon was pretty much how I wanted him to be.

You can find this image on deviantart under "Kings of the Eternal Return". Sounds dungeon boss-battlely no?

(Lorovos looks like Rethnak ate his cookies :S )
