New Face

I needed a new profile pic after lopping off all my hair.

Squachicorn!

I made this for Ian's son who was recently in a car accident (his wonderful idea). I hope it brings as many smiles to his little boy as I received drawing it.

Coned Cat Render Pass

I gave this guy a super last minute make-over a day before my prof-student meeting and thankfully it turned out for the best. He got suited up with the general colours and some markings from our family dog Levi since the plain white was just not cutting it.

I just need to give him chompers and fix the maps of the textures on the bottoms of his paws then it's rigging time.

Fur Test

My professors helped me get fur on this guy, but I still have to map where it's not supposed to grow (I changed my UVs since my last post). So for now he'll have a fuzzy nose and paw pads. I still think his eyes are creepy. D:

Cat Fur

I gave up trying to use VRay Fur...So I then took it upon myself to paint it all...Which was super time consuming anyway. The eyes wouldn't import so I'll get that sorted another day.

3D Cat Model

Well here's what I have so far in modelled form of my cat (re-hashed 2D design previously from my 4th-year film Catformity). I'm still fixing issues but so far it seems to be going rather well.

Self-Portrait Banner

A banner-in-progress. I got to lengthen my arms on it lol.

Here's the photo of the original sketch.

Tokidoki Tiger Model

TT is what I've nicknamed him. We had to bulid a model based off a real-life toy and I went with Tokidoki's Onizuka Tiger figure.

Nil Mudbox Sculpt

I finally finished my Mudbox sculpt! We used a mesh based on the KidRobot "Munny". The critter is based on my skull-cat thing called Nil.

Tree Princess Sketches

I found these floating around my terabyte and thought it'd be fun to post them. I had an idea for a story about a Tree Princess and here are the ideas for the characters Brynn, the cursed princess and the farmboy who finds her named Morgan. Brynn has a pet squirrel I haven't named yet lol.

Wendat Village Women

I opened my 1TB drive to find this fairly unfinished from the "Big Turtle" co-op and descided to salvage what I could since it was a pretty messy drawing. I drew a fair amount of village women concepts back when our little studio group went to the Huronia Museum and the Midland Marsh (I wish I had gotten more that were post-worthy).

Samples of my work below:

Catformity Poster

Yay I've roughed out my Catformity poster! This is all I could think of in order to sum my film up without giving too much away.

Her Portrait- Sua Phoslux

A 30 min sketch and speedpaint. I felt like playing more with the colour more than lineart in the end lol.

Lady Undina

It was fun trying a semi-line and shape-based style :D However, I might have to go back and darken those lines...They seem a bit lost against the texture. (Thinks deeply about it.)

1st and 2nd Year Character Design

I was going through my hardrive and found a few memories from my pervious years. Baa was my first animal character design in 1st year and I was satisfied with his overall result. Sir Edmund and Percibel the Enchanted Horse were for Nancy Beiman's "Time Period-TV Boards" assignment in 2nd year. I'm very happy to say I can see an improvement in how I go about designing things now compared to then.

(I wish I had the psd file to remove that watermark lol.)

(That running pose in the upper right corner O.o)

(Percibel is still my favorite pony.)

Sketchbook Pages

I had to tear apart my sketchbook for a style portfolio project...And since I have this habit of one image to a page I had to do a bunch of scans/photoshopping to get the required two pages. This is a lesson learned in the fact I must do more multiple doodles per page. :3

As always, please do not use these characters without permission since they are copyright to me.
